§1 Methodology
Methodology
Every factual claim on this site traces to a named primary source — an FDA filing, a peer-reviewed publication, a ClinicalTrials.gov record, or a named sponsor disclosure. This page explains how that evidence is tiered, how content gets reviewed, how to report an error, and what this site deliberately does not do.
§2 Evidence hierarchy
Every compound monograph is assigned one of four evidence tiers, shown prominently near the top of the page. The tier describes the strength of published human evidence — not how effective or safe a compound is claimed to be.
| Tier | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | FDA-approved | Approved by the FDA for at least one indication, backed by multiple randomized controlled trials. |
| 2 | Late-phase trials | Not yet FDA-approved, but in Phase 2 or Phase 3 clinical trials with published human data. |
| 3 | Early-phase or limited human data | Early-phase trials, small human studies, or case reports only — not yet late-phase trials. |
| 4 | Preclinical / research-use-only | No published human clinical trial data. Evidence, where it exists, is preclinical (animal or in vitro). |
§3 Sourcing rules
- Every factual claim cites a primary source by name and URL: PubMed/NEJM/Lancet/JAMA and similar peer-reviewed publications, FDA filings and guidance documents, ClinicalTrials.gov records, or named third-party lab and sponsor disclosures.
- No content is ever fetched, scraped, quoted, or paraphrased from a competitor peptide site.
- When a fact isn't published anywhere findable, the page says so explicitly — "no published data located" — rather than approximating a number or leaving a silent gap.
- Dosing information is always presented as a documented range from cited literature or trial arms, never as a single recommended number, and never as a recommendation for a specific person.
- Every published page has a citation log in this project's
CONTENT-SOURCES.md, which records every source used and any correction made after independent verification.
§4 Review process
Every monograph, guide, and update shows a Last reviewed date. Before publication, a sample of the highest-stakes citations on each page is independently re-verified by direct fetch or search — not just trusted from the initial research pass. This has repeatedly caught and corrected real errors before publication (imprecise study titles, conflated sample sizes, an incomplete regulatory outcome); see CONTENT-SOURCES.md for the specific record of what was caught and fixed on each page. A page is re-reviewed whenever a cited trial, label, or regulatory action changes, or when a correction is reported (see below).
§5 Corrections policy
If you find an error — an outdated figure, a broken citation, a claim that no longer matches its source — emailhello@peptide.worldwith the page and the specific claim. Corrections are verified against the original source before the page is updated, and the page's Last reviewed date is updated to reflect the change.
§6 What this site does not do
- This site does not provide medical advice. Nothing here is a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare provider.
- This site does not recommend a dose for any individual. Dosing information is always a documented range from cited literature or trial arms, not a personalized recommendation.
- This site does not sell peptides, does not own inventory, and does not rank vendors by a subjective quality score — see Disclosures for the site's commercial relationships, if any.
- This site is not written or reviewed by a licensed medical or pharmacy professional — see Who for the editor's actual background.
